Descriere autovehicul
“You buy a Ferrari if you want to be someone,
you buy a Lamborghini when you are someone”
1984 Lamborghini Jalpa 3.5
Highly original mint condition European car
Included in the Jalpa Registry
39.000 kms, registered in The Netherlands
As most Lamborghinis the Jalpa is named after a fighting Bull, the Jalpa Kandachia.
The Lamborghini Jalpa, a design by Bertone, was introduced in 1981 as the successor to the Lamborghini Silhouette and was designed as a more affordable and more driveable alternative to the Countach. With a 3.5-liter overhead camshaft V8 behind the front seats that delivered 255 hp, the Jalpa was only slightly slower than its big brother but offered a much more practical drive.
The performance of the Jalpa is comparable to the Ferrari 328 and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h. in 6 seconds, featuring a top speed of 250 km/h.
Jalpa’s typically age gracefully and are well described in a recent article from Motortrend: https://www.motortrend.com/reviews/lamborghini-jalpa-classic-drive-review?slide=1 The conclusion of the article is that a Jalpa is indeed the more affordable, yet just as desirable car as a Countach.
Trivia: Italian Stallion Rocky Balboa drives a Jalpa in the famous “no easy way out” scene in Rocky 4.
The car on sale is well described in the Lamborghini Jalpa registry and was delivered to MLG Motor Leasing of Germany on 27 June 1984 for a client in Monaco. In 2001 the car was sold to Mr Ray Shafazand of California and in 2013 it was sold to Mr Michael Feruccio, Rhode Island. The last US owner on file is Lamborghini Gold Coast, Chicago who sold it to the current owner in the Netherlands.
